Container Centralen (CC) has been the specialist in flower and plant containers in Europe for nearly 50 years. CC’s pooling system connects more than 20.000 growers, auction houses, retailers and transporters. CC offers these supply chain partners logistical solutions and manages and operates a fleet of standardized RTIs (Reusable Transport Items). With the reusable CC Containers and the CC pooling system, Container Centralen contributes to an efficient and sustainable way of transporting flowers and plants. The company employs 85 people across Europe.
The function
As CCO, you are responsible for customer management and business development across all European markets, covering both physical and digital services. You lead Sales, Sales Support, Marketing, and Digital teams, driving market strategies and achieving sales targets. Your mandate is to shape and execute the commercial strategy, strengthen partnerships and the customer portfolio, and elevate the organization toward consultative selling that delivers sustainable value. The role is based in Hoofddorp, Netherlands, with approximately 25% travel across Europe.
The function profile
• Build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers and support key account proposals.
• Ensure top-tier commercial and operational service through consultative sales.
• Work cross-functionally with Business Development, Operations, and Finance to drive growth.
• Coach Sales and Key Account Managers to navigate market challenges and meet targets.
• Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with CC’s overall goals.
• Expand the Digital Service portfolio and enhance the MyCC platform.
• Lead and coach teams on KPIs and competency development.
The candidate
The ideal candidate is down-to-earth, committed to the company’s success, and persistent in prioritizing the business’s interests. He/she is customer-focused, commercially driven and consistently strive for impactful results.
Candidate profile
• Master’s degree with 12–18 years of international experience.
• Proven success in food/agriculture, ideally horticulture.
• Experience in supply chain or RTI pooling is a plus.
• Consultative B2B sales expert with strong customer insight and value-driven solutions.
• Skilled in scaling customer-centric self-service platforms across Europe.
• Track record of driving commercial growth.
• Experienced in coaching teams with a results-focused, supportive style.
• Fluent in business English; other languages are a plus.
