"The advantage for our candidates is that we point the way for them. We are familiar with the entire spectrum of consultancy firms, as well as their respective cultures and specialisms. We can distinguish facts from fiction. For most candidates, these firms after all are a kind of crystal balls, in which the differences are difficult to distinguish if you're not at home in the sector yet. We show them the way, advise whether or not to take a certain step and point out further career opportunities. These firms tend to have a short horizon, usually around three years. They generally have an ‘up or out' culture, i.e. ‘grow or go'. They offer a steep career path, in which every career move requires a whole new set of skills. If you are a born consultant and can also find your way around the ‘corporate world' in a commercial sense, you can stay in this profession. In other situations, you can see a variety of interesting follow-up positions, in a wide range of sectors and disciplines at the senior management level."
