This ranges from ‘retail is detail', with an almost scientific intelligence, to senior managers who have a strong, visionary feel for consumers and trends. Clients often ask our advice when undertaking new initiatives, for instance when they've decided to set up a new retail chain, develop an internet concept or launch a new brand. From distribution to strategy: which people, with which competences, are required for the job?"

Manufacturing and retail

Our activities in this sector focus on the two main segments: manufacturing and retail. This regularly extends to the international domain, although the companies' Dutch roots remain important. We predominantly handle positions at the Board and senior management level. In this work, we always collaborate closely with our colleagues in the other sectors and disciplines. An example: if we're looking for a chief financial officer for a major manufacturer in the ‘fast moving' segment, we work in tandem with our colleagues from Finance.

Wieke Janssen: "We have a broad knowledge of the market and in the Consumer Goods & Retail segment, we have. We know about the tough conditions, the competition and the tight margins that companies operate under: the strong professionalism, in other words. A CFO, HR Manager, possibly coming from a different sector, should also have this feeling. Our colleagues know the right people in the various professional disciplines and are aware of this. This ensures that our advisement procedure and selection processes are meticulous and incisive. This is something that we regularly hear back from clients."
